What this program is all about:

Fitness is not a fad. It has to become a lifestyle to be successful. Habits are made in 11 days and lifestyle changes take 30 days. So what does it take to change your life into one that is fit and healthy?

 

 

 

1. You need desire. These are changes that you want to make for yourself. If you want to lose weight and get in shape because you want to get a boyfriend or attract that pretty girl from work, don't, because it won't work. Sure, you might lose some weight and/put on some muscle, but once you have you won't stick to it. You need to have a strong desire to make these changes for you, because you like the way it makes you feel and what you see in the mirror every morning.

2. You need support. By joining a group that offers accountability as well as positive encouragement, you will increase your chances of success greatly. Fellow group participants listen to your struggles and provide stories of their own struggles and success. Being a part of group will help you actively participate in your goal-meeting process by exercising with you, helping you develop healthy, balanced menu plans and celebrating your successes. Ultimately, however, it's important to remember that weight loss and fitness results stem from your own motivation and efforts, and no matter how good your support group is, you must make positive and healthy lifestyle changes to enact the results you want.

3. You need a plan. Having a plan makes staying on track so much easier. Having a workout scheudle,  a  menu and grocery list are a great way to plan ahead for your day and week.

Nutrition: The most important and I believe the hardest part of a healthy lifestyle is the nutrition. Most of us have grown up with food available in mass supply, relatively cheap, and more choices than we know what to do with. Americans are becoming fatter and more unhealthy with every passing year. The one thing I see that is most common among Americans is that we eat a lot and we eat a lot of prepackaged, cooked until there are no nutrients convenience foods. SAD...Standard American Diet. With this 10 week program you will be learning about raw foodism and how to incorporate it into your life. By replacing some of the foods/meals you are eating now with raw foods like fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts you will start to feel healthier and have more energy than you knew was possible. There will be 3 instructional raw food prep classes for you to get some hands on experience and talk and share with the other participants.

Fitness: The second most important part of a healthy lifestyle is the fitness component. Americans have more sedentary lives now than we have in our entire history. If you want to lose body fat and maintain or build muscle you need to exercise. I know, exercise is hard and not always fun. But, that is why you will have 10 group fitness classes, one every week of the program. It is very motivating when you know that there are others waiting for and expecting you to show up. You motivate each other and can have fun working out.

E-Newsletter: You will also recieve and have access to a weekly e-newsletter. In there you will find articles and tips on fitness and nutrition. There will be recipes and meal ideas. Workout plans as well as cardio training plans will be available to you through the e-newsletter.
